FAQs

Q: How often do I need to replace the filters? Built-in replacement indicators will notify you when it's time. As a general guide: Carbon filter every 3–4 months, HEPA filter every 12–15 months, and UV lamp every 1–3 years.

Q: Is the filter washable? The Z-1000 includes an activated carbon pre-filter and a HEPA filter (captures particles as small as 0.3 microns) — however, the carbon pre-filter is not washable. For a washable pre-filter, check out the Z-2000 or Z-3000 models.

Q: Does it have a timer? The Z-1000 does not have a timer. The TruSens Z-2000 and Z-3000 models offer a timer that shuts off after 2, 4, 8, or 12 hours.

Q: Does it have a Night Mode? I want to use it in my bedroom. The Z-1000 does not have a Night Mode, though its lights are fairly unobtrusive. Night Mode (which turns off the illuminated display) is available on the Medium and Large units.
